Sonia worked as a prostitute for almost 30 years in the streets of Toamasina. At 46, she is exhausted, worried for her own safety in an increasingly violent city, and anxious to provide a future for her two growing children. She then decides to hang up and lead a more stable life by setting up a small sewing business. To launch her new activity, she has to find money but Sonia is often caught up in her night owl habits... By day in her little house around the sewing machine and by night in the street of Toamasina, Sonia tells us about her life, her past, and gives us her thoughts on her and her country, with the hope of a better future.
