Sonia worked as a prostitute for almost 25 years in the streets of Toamasina. At 43, she is exhausted, worried for her own safety in an increasingly violent city, and anxious to provide an education for her two growing children. She then decides to hang up and lead a more stable life by setting up a small sewing business. To launch her new activity, she has to find money but Sonia is often caught up in her night owl habits... By day in her cabin around the sewing machine and at night with Jean the taxi driver, Sonia tells us about her life, her past, the night and its taboos and gives us her thoughts on her and her country.
